Toys R Us, Warwick, RI

The whole vibe of the store is rather cold. There's no personality, no charm. Aren't toy stores supposed to be fun? To add to the ambience, the employees don't seem particularly interested in helping.

Among the expected action figures, board games, Barbies, Hot Wheels, et al, my son found a couple Lego sets that he fancied, but there were no price tags. I pulled out my Red Laser app to give them a scan. Unsurprisingly, the sets were $5 less at a nearby Target and Wal-Mart (you'd think the place would at least be able to compete on price). If the boy hadn't needed to spend the gift cards, we'd have headed to Target straight away.

Let's be honest... if he didn't have the gift cards, we wouldn't have set foot in the store in the first place.

Just a Few Thoughts

We all know how the job market has gone to L recently, and how we have been shoved out of our desired fields of interest.
There are at least two fields that never go away, IMO. The two main-stays in everybody's life are food, and shelter. That being said, there are a lot of jobs that are related to these two necessities.
For example, the food/goods have to be distributed throughout the country. No matter what happens here, these goods get moved. Rain, snow, hurricanes, fires, even terrorist attacks--and things keep moving.
So, anything you can find in the area of distribution and logistics should be lucrative for a long time, and you can start out in a warehouse (with some computer skills) or on the floor at Costco, and stay employed

As Apple's sweetly geeky co-founder, Gad is a real pleasure, and his scenes with Kutcher help us understand Jobs, even when - maybe especially when - the two are awkwardly parting ways, late in the film.
